These tank trailers are made of steel, with an external insulation layer and pressure jacket with a hauling capacity of 10600 to 11600 gallons.
The two common pressure ratings MC 331 tanks come in are 250 PSI and 265 PSI. Because of the high pressure of LPG, these tank trailers have a cylindrical shaped design with only one compartment.
