Euclid Avenue - East 81st to Cleveland City Line (CO#4)
- (Posted: 6.23.08) Euclid Corridor Construction Alerts - Road Closures and Traffic Pattern Shifts in University area
Effective Monday, June 23, 2008, the southbound lane at Adelbert Road will be closed to large trucks and buses. These vehicles will be
detoured to Cornell Road while the new concrete crosswalks are installed. This section will reopen Tuesday, June 24.
Effective Wednesday, June 25, 2008, Euclid/East 101st Street will be permanently closed to through traffic. This
closure is part of the final construction stage in this area, thus eastbound Euclid Avenue through traffic to East 101st Street will no longer
be accessible.
Effective Wednesday, July 2, 2008, Euclid Avenue through traffic between East 105th and East 107th will be closed for roadway
reconstruction. Eastbound Euclid traffic will need to use Chester Avenue or Carnegie Avenue as an alternative route. This section of traffic
will reopen within six weeks.
Effective Wednesday, July 9, 2008, the traffic lanes between the intersections of East 107th Street and Mayfield Road will be shifted
to the South side. Median landscape work and roadway pavement construction to the North will occur. One lane traffic will be maintained in each
direction.

- (Posted: 5.22.08) Euclid Corridor Construction Alert - Traffic Patterns Shifted to North between Stearns and Mayfield Road
Please be advised that traffic patterns will be altered on Euclid Avenue from Stearns Road to Mayfield Road beginning Tuesday, May 27, 2008.
Traffic lanes will shift to the north side with one-way traffic in each direction for eastbound and westbound operations on Euclid Avenue. Construction
will occur on the south half of the roadway for median work and roadway paving. Weather permitting, construction work is expected for up to six weeks.

- (Posted: 5.5.08) Euclid Corridor Construction Alert - East 87th/Euclid Closure - Follow all Posted Detour Signs
Beginning Monday, May 12, 2008, the intersection of East 87th at Euclid Avenue will be closed for construction. Northbound East 87th
traffic will be detoured to East 79th and then over to Chester Avenue. Southbound East 87th traffic will have access to all Cleveland Clinic driveways
and Chester Parkway. Weather permitting, the intersection will reopen to traffic during the week of May 19, 2008. Please follow all
posted detour traffic signs.

- (Posted: 1.17.08) Euclid Corridor Construction Alerts - Permanent Lane Closures/Traffic Patterns Change from Stokes
Boulevard - Mayfield Road
Weather permitting, permanent lane closures from Stokes Boulevard to Mayfield Road will begin Monday, January 28. The South
lanes of Euclid Avenue between Stokes and Mayfield will close. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction utilizing the North half of
Euclid Avenue. Be prepared for lane shifts when approaching this area.

- (Posted: 1.08.08) Traffic Changes and Closures from East 86th - East 107th
Beginning January 15, 2008, reconstruction work will begin between East 86th and East 107th Street. The following areas will be affected
until August 2008:
- Two-way traffic will be maintained between East 86th and East 87th;
- From East 87th to East 89th one-way traffic will be maintained WESTBOUND;
- Cleveland Clinic Main Entrance will be accessible via East 93rd;
- Euclid Avenue and all side streets leading into Euclid Avenue will be CLOSED to through traffic from East
89th to East 97th;
- One way Euclid Avenue traffic will be maintained EASTBOUND from East 97th to East 107th;
- East 89th NORTHBOUND traffic lane will be CLOSED to through traffic. SOUTHBOUND traffic will have access to
Euclid Avenue;
- The WESTBOUND Euclid Avenue traffic from the East side will be detoured to Chester Avenue at Martin Luther King Blvd.
Traffic will travel along Chester Avenue to bypass the construction. The detour will direct traffic to East 89th for access to Euclid Avenue;
- The EASTBOUND Euclid Avenue traffic will be detoured North on East 87th. Traffic will follow Chester Avenue to
East 97th where it will regain access to Euclid Avenue.

- (Posted: 11.12.07) Traffic Pattern Altered From East 79th - East 86th Street
Please be advised that during the week of November 19, traffic will shift between East 79th and East 86th Streets. East and westbound
Euclid Avenue traffic will shift to the curb lanes. The middle of the road and all driveway cut throughs will be closed. As westbound
Euclid Avenue traffic approaches East 79th Street, it will shift to the South side lanes of Euclid.

- (Posted: 9.18.07) East Boulevard Lane Narrowed/Detour
Please be advised that beginning September 26, East Boulevard will be narrowed to a single northbound lane between Euclid Avenue and Bellflower Road.
Traffic heading south on East Boulevard will follow the posted detour.
The southbound East Boulevard detour will direct traffic onto Bellflower Road; traffic will follow Bellflower Road to Ford Drive; traffic will turn right
onto Ford Drive which will bring traffic back to Euclid Avenue.
Patrons of the Cleveland Orchestra will have access to Severance Hall Garage.
Weather permitting, work is expected for up to four weeks.

- (Posted: 9.4.07) East 79th - East 86th St Construction and Traffic Pattern Changes
Beginning September 4, traffic will shift to the new south lanes of Euclid Avenue so work can begin in the north lanes between East 79th and East 81st
Streets. Westbound Euclid Avenue traffic will narrow to a single lane near the intersection of East 86th. Eastbound traffic will follow the curb lane
across East 79th and continue to East 86th where traffic will return back to the normal traffic pattern.
The installation of stations and planter curbs will permanently close East 82nd, East 84th and East 85th Streets to through traffic.
East 81st, East 83rd and East 86th Streets will remain open during this phase of construction.

Please be advised that the East 83rd intersection at Euclid will be closed on August 7, 2007 for reconstruction. Traffic from Carnegie will not
have access to Euclid Avenue. The posted detour will direct traffic to East 86th Street. Closure is anticipated for 4-6 weeks.

- (Posted: 6.5.07) East 81st - East 86th Closures
E. 81st, E. 82nd, and E. 86th Street Closures: Beginning Friday, June 22, 2007 the following intersections will be closed for
reconstruction. The southbound lane of E. 81st Street will be closed to through traffic at Euclid Avenue. The northbound lane of E. 81st Street
traffic will be maintained. E. 82nd and E. 86th Street will be closed at Euclid Avenue to through traffic. The posted detour signs will direct
traffic to East 83rd Street. Closures are anticipated for up to 5 weeks.

- (Posted: 4.26.07) East 105th - Lakeview Avenue (Permanent Lane Closures from East 105th - Lakeview)
Beginning May 1st, traffic between East 105th - East 107th will narrow down to one lane in each direction;
The north side lanes of Euclid Avenue between East 107th and Mayfield Road will close. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in
each direction utilizing the south half of Euclid Avenue;
Work will also begin in the north side lanes between Mayfield Road & Lakeview with one lane in each direction maintained on the south
side.

- (Posted: 4.2.07) Permanent lanes closures from East 107th to East 123rd will begin on April 10 pending
utility work completion. The North side (Westbound) two lanes between East 107th and Mayfield Road will be closed. Two lanes
of traffic in each direction will be maintained through this area utilizing the South half of Euclid Avenue.
Work will also begin in the North side lanes of Euclid between Mayfield Road and East 123rd. Traffic in this area will be narrowed to
one lane in each direction.

- (Posted: 2.26.07) Weather permitting, on March 8, 2007 roadway construction
will begin on the south side of Euclid Avenue from East 81st to East 86th Street. Traffic will shift from the
south side to the new pavement on the north side in this area. One lane traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.

- (Posted: 1.25.07) Beginning February 1, 2007, traffic from the south side will be switched to
the new pavements located on the north side of the roadway between the intersection of East 81st and East 86th Streets for
operation. Traffic patterns will shift near East 81st and East 86th Streets. For more information please contact the project

- (Posted: 1.10.07) Beginning January 15, 2007, utility work will begin along the south side of
Euclid Avenue from East 107th to the east end of the city limits. A roaming work zone will be implemented throughout the project
area. Please watch for traffic signs and arrow boards posted. Traffic control officers will be used as needed to help direct
traffic.
- (Posted: 1.3.07) Beginning January 15, 2007, please be advised, weather permitting, the East
86th Street intersection on the north side will be closed for reconstruction for approximately one month. Traffic will be detoured
